A Star is Born

Sorry, but I am at a total loss to understand why so many people have raved about this film - watching it was just plain hard work. A Bradley Cooper vanity project in which you are subjected to two hours of the man playing an alcoholic, mumbling mostly incomprehensible dialogue and running his hand through his greasy hair. I would agree that he did it well, but the performance offered nothing new. Lady Gaga, was ok but not great either. The music was good but that's about all.
