Is Jax closing

Saw a post on FB saying ie Last Thurs. I thought this track was going to continue racing through Jan since the amendment is stalled.

Not that I know of. I know DL said Dec. 27th would be their last day. If I hear anything about Jax I will certainly post it.

Jax cut two cards from their weekly schedule, Sunday and Thursday. Now they run only Tuesday night, doubleheader on Wed., Friday night and a doubleheader on Sat.

Why are they doing that. Slow business or getting ready close down. Sad. I love this place

I hear and see a lot of speculation, but I don't know for sure.

Some people think it is to have less dogs to adopt out all at once at the end of the year. I don't by that because they know they can race after the first of the year with no penalty.

Maybe they just want their card room and want to end the racing.

The court case in Georgia is still on going and Support Working Animals and their lawyer are working hard and putting in a lot of time with this case. Though many have given up SWA hasn't and neither have I.

The people in WV are still working hard to keep Grey2K and the HSUS at bay. They have way more money than we do, but sometimes the underdog wins. We'll see what happens.

When is the court case date? It's getting late and all the tracks in FL will be closed. If they win the case, there won't be any track racing so if this case just for not.
